"Really nice code here Carter! I think I'll make my little version starting with your code and using JQuery instead of protoype (got a little preference for jquery over prototype). But I really like it and I will DEFINITELY include your work on my latest app if you agree. What's your licence by the way? :)"

The controversial idea that space impacts may have wiped out woolly mammoths and early human settlers in North America has received new impetus.
Nano-diamonds and other exotic impact materials have been unearthed in thin sediments, Science magazine reports.
The age of these materials coincides with the start of a millennium-long climate cooling event known as the Younger Dryas - some 13,000 years ago.

Lindsey, do you understand that it's really bad to insult people the way you do? No, I mean really, what's wrong with you?

Do you understand it's really bad to make a an individual post about a 3 year old saying you want to marry her?
- Lindsey in Love
[2d 8hr ago]
Lindsey, do You understand that it's a poetic way to say that she's cute? That it's not something I mean really and literally? I mean, that's stupid! The girl is 4 years... come one! moreover I posted the same comment on her dad's thread. If I was what you insulted me by, would I write something bad there? Come on Lindsey...

I don't honestly believe you are one. I said it sounded creepy. You decided to call me an idiot so I called you a pedophile. Sometimes you should think before you post.
- Lindsey in Love
[2d 8hr ago]
Ooh, culture clash. In the USA, we have serious issues with pedophilia so saying that you'll do anything with a kid is frowned upon.
- Morton Fox
[2d 8hr ago]
Andrew, definitely different cultures. Where I live and generally in Europe, it's a "poetic" way to express a very tender affection... I added a comment to clear this out on Johnny's post.
- directeur
[2d 8hr ago]
Morton I don't think we have a bigger problem than anywhere else. The only difference is that people try to shove tons of other stuff under the umbrella of pedophilia (piracy, etc.) and it makes a great sensationalist goto news story on the 5 o'clock news.

"Confucius believed that social disorder often stemmed from failure to perceive, understand, and deal with reality. Fundamentally, then, social disorder can stem from the failure to call things by their proper names, and his solution to this was the rectification of names." I don't seem able to communicate the way people do. I read a lot online, I do care, but I don't feel like I'm worth attention... I mean, I'm not looking for attention, but I'm thinking to myself, that probably I'm born to be by myself... See? It's even hard for me to explain this.
- directeur
[2d 15hr ago]
Try being less introspective directeur. Engage other people in conversation whether you feel like you have something to say or not. Allowing other people to talk about themselves makes you a good listener and you'll learn enough to be able to contribute to that and future conversations.

Thanks for the advise Tad. I actually do care, I read what people write, and I smile or feel bad for them. I am empathic by nature, I just don't seem to be completly immersed.

good luck imaboneheaded :)
- directeur
[2d 15hr ago]
directeur, don't worry about being completely immersed... It shouldn't be another job (unless you're making a living off of it). It's a way to communicate with people because you ENJOY it... if you aren't enjoying it then something needs to change in your approach. No one is keeping score. Unless you have some personal popularity goal that you need to alter your behavior for just be yourself, post what's interesting to you, engage in discussion when you want to (not when you feel you have to) and have fun!
- FFundercats' Lin-ZAY
[2d 14hr ago]
You usually have interesting contributions, so I don't think you're a "bad" social media user... everyone does it for different reasons and in different ways. Social media is a medium, not the end product. You make it what you want it to be for you.
- FFundercats' Lin-ZAY
[2d 14hr ago]
Great comment Lindsay, I really appreciate it! Well, I'm not making any living off my "online social life", and never meant to. I don't care about "popularity" neither, I'm actually for "value" not "popularity", and that's why I'm spending my spare time on working on stuff like APML and personal relevancy things... I'm only "directeur" and that's fine for me :) But I got to say that you've just nailed it: FUN! Thanks again :)
